Quality control

Six gates, every unit.

Every BlueTone product passes through six measurement gates before it leaves Albuquerque. Each one is documented and tied to your serial number — if a unit fails in the field, we know exactly where to look.

  1. 01

    Driver matching

Every pair of drivers is matched within ±0.5 dB at 1 kHz before being assembled into a shell. Drivers that fall outside spec are returned to the supplier — never sold as B-stock.

  2. 02

    Frequency-response sweep

Each unit is measured on a calibrated ear simulator from 20 Hz to 20 kHz. The curve is compared against our reference target and stored against the product serial number for five years.

  3. 03

    Bluetooth & codec test

Bluetooth link stability is verified over a 10-minute walk-test at 5 m through one interior wall. AAC and LC3 codec negotiation is confirmed against reference iOS and Android devices.

  4. 04

    ANC verification (where applicable)

Active noise-cancellation depth is measured against a pink-noise reference at 50 dB SPL. Units below the published attenuation spec are rejected.

  5. 05

    Battery cycle

A 30-minute charge / 30-minute drain cycle is performed on every battery cell to confirm capacity within 5 % of nameplate. Cells that fail are not repaired — they are recycled.

  6. 06

    Final listening

A human listener auditions every unit with a 90-second reference track (vocal, acoustic, electronic). Anything that doesn't sound right is pulled, re-measured, and either reworked or scrapped.

Test data for your serial number is available on request to our after-sales team. We typically respond within one business day.
